So this week has been filled with watching romantic comedy, chick flicks. . . JUST what I needed. I know there are those out there who don't like the hollywood ending where the couple falls in love and all is well, but I DO! I also love seeing female characters who are the typical women. Women who think they know what they want, when deep down, that's not what they really want at all. I love feeling like true love, serendipidous moments and sould mates DO exist.
First movie, Leap Year. This movie was so awesome! Loved both the male and female lead characters. Oh and visiting the cliffs on the coast of Ireland and Wales are now on my list of Things to Live For. I love the personality of the male lead. His quiet, frank nature and the way he accepted things just the way the were. And the way he fell in love with her without even noticing. My was it lovely, he was lovely. Ans yes, they end up together in the end, yay!!
Movie 2, When in Rome. Again 2 very strong, lovely, leading role characters. A woman disappointed by love repeatedly, gives love a second chance. Boy, did I relate to this character : ) I loved the male character, mostly because he never gave up on her. Once again, they end up together, kissing like they will be together forever.
I want it! Romance. Not just like in the movies, just in general.
It can exist, can't it?
So when I was in high school my girlfriends and I made up a club call the Rotics, romantics without the "man". I can't seem to get rid of my membership in this club for longer than a month or two. I will ALWAYS be a romantic . . . I just want than man too.

We need to go to more girls night out chick flicks - chicka.
