So the saga continues. . . I am still dating Paul and even more in love than ever.
This last time he was here we had some wonderful adventures. The day he arrived, we went to Tyler's (his best friend Andrew's son) baptism. It was fun to be there to support Tyler in this important step. It was also really great to see Paul exercise his priesthood. It was actually really attractive. Man, I love him!! After the baptism, we hit the road and headed to Manti to attend Paul's cousin's wedding reception. The drive was beautiful and I loved holding his hand. We got stopped by a train for a few minutes and yes, we took the opportunity to kiss! Muah! I love kissing him!! When we arrived in Manti, we met up with Paul's parents, Bruce and Linda and went to the Sanpete county fair parade and checked out the antique car show (Paul and his dad are huge fans of old cars). We then went to the reception held in the most lovely old church house on main street. I met Paul's Aunt Marsha and Uncle Rocky as well as the bride and groom, Paul's cousin Cole. Aunt Marsha was really excited to meet me and even squeezed my hand when she shook it. I guess everyone is excited Paul is dating me. :) After enjoying some refreshments, we went to dinner with Paul's parents. We talked and laughed and as always Paul and his dad both tried to pay the check. LOL They are so cute together. I love watching how they interact. I loved hearing stories about Paul as a kid too.
We also got to attend my nephew Brevin's homecoming talk. Paul was so sweet and put up with my family's teasing and silly humor.
Paul rides a motorcycle (which I think is so hot). He has ridden to Tennessee, the black hills of the Dakotas, even to Alaska. He asked me to ride with him over Labor Day weekend from SLC up to Helena, Montana to visit his cousin Smitty. I have been on a motorcycle before but not very long distances, but hey, you only live once. We left Friday and rode up to Lava Hot Springs, ID. We got a room, then went to the hot springs to soak. It felt soooooo good. After I was seriously exhausted. We got a bite to eat and then I was out. We woke the next morning and hit the road again. We rode to Pocatello and stopped for breakfast at Perkins Family Restaurant. Yummy! We continued North and in Idaho Falls we stopped at a Wal Mart to buy a pillow for my tush. The passenger seat was not as soft and comfortable as the driver's. This pillow was deemed my "princess pillow". It helped but I had to keep rotating it. LOL The scenery was beautiful! The flat lands, cornfields, cows and horses. I loved being able to put my arms around Paul and give him a little squeeze. I loved how he would squeeze my leg acknowledging me and checking in on me. When we arrived in Helena we called Paul's cousin and he gave directions to his house, which sat on the top of this hill. What a view!! We were greeted my Smitty and his buddy Bobby. Paul introduced me and there were hugs all around. Smitty's wife Sarah came out and let us know dinner would be ready soon. Paul stayed out in the garage with the boys talking bikes and such and I went inside to get to know Sarah. The conversation came easy and we became friends quite quickly really. We had a wonderful dinner of rib eye steaks cooked on the grill, homemade french fries, salad and bread with a fruit salad for desert. It was so delicious. We chatted more, and then all went to bed. We woke up and all went to breakfast. The boys rode motorcycles and I rode with Sarah in the car. She was on call for her job and couldn't go on our day ride with us. We ate at a little place Smitty likes called The Cowboy Cafe. Down home food all made right there, fresh to order. Sarah headed home and we headed out on a ride to Virginia City. It was just gorgeous!! Rivers, hills, valleys. We stopped at the Pony Bar for a soda and to take some photos on the way. We arrived in Virginia City, which used to be a ghost town that had been restored. We had a great time looking in the shops, and looking at the artifacts such as old buggies, clothing, dishes, jewelry, tools and furniture all from the period. We got some creamy ice cream and were off again, back to Helena. We arrived to the smell of Sarah's cooking and enjoyed Taco Sunday with Smitty and Sarah. After visiting and resting we all went to bed. The next morning after packing up and having a quick breakfast Paul and I headed home. It was a long ride! Paul made sure to stop so we could rest our legs about every hour. He is so kind and considerate. We arrived home safe just after 7pm. I was relieved to be home and so was my tush. :) I loved riding and want to do it again - just with a softer seat.
Paul also took me shooting at a target range. I shot a bullseye with his 22 rifle. yay me!!
I so enjoy my adventures with my Paul and am already dreaming of many more in the years to come.
I love this man!!
You go , girl! Wow!
