Blind Date

Last weeked I went on a blind date. . . and it was actually really fun!

Saturday afternoon I got a call, then a text from my sis-in-law Kristine. She explained that her friend Liz, in her ward has a friend that she wants to set me up with and he is available, TONIGHT. She said Liz would call me to give me the deats. Liz called and gave me the info on Paul and the game plan for our date and sent me a text with the address where to meet.

So I got dressed and put a little make up on and first went to the airport to pick up Craig. He had been in NYC for a few days. It was perfect because the first thing Craig said to me was, "You look great! Wow!" Just what I needed to hear. After taking Craig to the conda and visiting for a few I headed out to meet my date.

I was met outside by Andrew, Paul's friend, Liz's brother and was asked, "Are you Paul's date?" I said I was and he then explained that Paul's clothes were wet, they had just been washed and were now being dried. I smiled not knowing if he was serious or joking. Come to find out, he was serious. So after being introduce to a slew of people, teased a little, holding and rocking Liz's newborn, I met Paul, who was dressed in a swim suit, a t-shirt and a blanket.

Paul's clothes were finally dry and we headed out. First a double date to dinner with Liz, her husband and their 2 little boys. Paul and I talked in the car and the conversation came easy. Dinner was fun and we talked and laughed. We started talking about movies and he asked if I wanted to go see a movie after dinner. So we decided on Rio at Jordan Landing. The movie was so cute! I finally reached out to hold his hand after wanting to for half the movie. He didn't seem to mind. We sat holding hands until the credits were over then left the theater. We then went to Cold Stone for amazing ice cream treats and more conversation!

I had such a great time!! I really hope I get to talk to Paul and go out with him again! If not, it's all good. This date made me remember that I am pretty, fun, desirable, date-able and that blind dates can work out!!
